Wet warping forms.

It's just a bar
Tom Pockley Tom Pockley came along to show us something "wet and wild". He used a large log of about 12" length and 10" diameter and cut one end to fit his monster chuck jaws.

He then turned this down into a wavy edge fluted bowl. Tom reminded us that the base needs to be in balance with the rim, and heavy. He hollows out his bases to provide extra stability.

Tom cuts his edges narrow to promote warping to give each piece its' individual character.

The evening gave us all an insight on the use of warping to help create an artistic form. We shall never look at those large logs in the same light again!
