What a busy evening this was!
Our Librarian, Malcolm Martin, was on the Club lathe showing us how to make his stress-busting pebbles. He attracted quite a crowd. Who said woodturning was stressful?
The Auction this year was in two parts. We had hoped to split it into 4, but the variety of products that came in, made it more practical to have just one table. Thanks for your generosity and we sold just under £300 worth of goods.
The Bring & Buy tables were doing good business, with everyone selling something. Please remember that you can bring in items for sale to every meeting, not just the Christmas one.
Our Raffle this month was for a collection of 8 superb prizes - our usual woodturning items and some jolly Christmas fare. I liked the Christmas cake - I see we did not all get a slice of it from the winner.
If you were not involved in any of the above, there was ample opportunity to mingle, sit, listen, or whatever with your colleagues in the Club. The December Newsletter and 2004 programme were available for all.
The Library and abrasives sales were also busy.
Thanks to Mr. Tea and Mrs. Coffee for their hard work at the urn, and to all of you that supplied food. A veritable selection of goodies!
Lastly, a big "thank you" to all our helpers. You made the night go without a hitch.
On behalf of the Committee may I wish you all a Happy New Year, and we look forward to seeing you at January's meeting.
